Of all the countries in East Africa, Uganda has got to be one of the most diverse and unique destinations. Its landscapes range from high mountains and gushing waterfalls to vast savannahs and fast flowing rivers. Uganda is home to the highly endangered mountain gorillas and the fascinating chimpanzees, it’s where you can find the source of the Nile, the largest lake in Africa, and a number of excellent game parks where you spot the Big Five.

There is a reason why Uganda is known around the world as the “Pearl of Africa”. This small nation packs a punch and manages to tick all the boxes of an incredible East African experience without the high price tag. It’s not quite as developed and popular as Tanzania and Kenya, but it offers just as much in terms of bucket list experiences.
